A break from the Blogenge

September 27th, 2009

Scan (big) 20090922 Well, back in 2007 Andy had the privilege of announcing Isaac’s existence (although he was known as Amazon then) so this time, it’s up to me.

I am very excited to present to you, Brister (Isaac’s brother or sister). S/he was going to be known as Google, but I think we’re going with Brister for now although we are open to suggestions…

As you can see, there is just the one baby, despite my and Susie’s ‘feelings’ that there may be two (or three). Apparently it’s quite common to fear that you’re having twins when you get pregnant the second time, but I’m not sure what Susie’s rationale was! And fun (?!) as twins would have been, it was a relief when the sonographer confirmed that there was just the one.

So, March 20th. Isaac was born on his due date so obviously we have very obedient children and this one will also be born right when we’re expecting it, because that’s how it works, isn’t it?

Anyway, I should finish now as I need to wee. Again.

Yahoooooo! (about Brister – opposed to yahooing about you needing a wee!)

Well I’m rooting for him to be 3 days before his due date. Not only because it would annoy Neil and he would forever be known as thunder-stealer but also because if he was born on 17/03/10 then he would be born on the centenary of his great-grandad’s birth which would be rather cool. (Or she obviously, I’m not psychic…)

Maybe there are two but the other one doesn’t like cameras and is hiding behind Brister.

That would be cool. Great-grandad on which side? I’m sure I should know if it was on our side but I don’t.

That is such exciting news! Hurray! I’m loving the name Brister too. Hope you are feeling well and not too fed up of the sight of the bathroom, for one reason and another! This has definitely won the most exciting post on any of the Blogengers’ blogs prize. xxx

I found your blog! I did it by googling your name. You are not interesting anough to come up on google, but Andy is, and, by a complicated series of events, I ended up here!
SO excited about Brister. She’s a girl, but the way! ;-)

Sian, I know I’m like really clever and that but would I really know when Andy’s Grandad was born?? It’s Daddy’s daddy – Edwyn Horatio (known as Pat) so I promised him you’d call the new baby Horatio….

I’d be disappointed if you didn’t call the new baby Horatio. It just fits perfectly. I think it would work across genders too.

Oh dear. I was being REALLY blonde. Not sure I want to admit why…
We’ll put Horatio on the list.
No, we won’t.

You’ll never know. It’s just too stupid to admit.

You’re allowed to be stupid when you’re pregnant – you just say it’s your ‘baby brain.’
